Leather jackets and combat boots

His style changed completely within just a couple of months. That could be easily explained in his case. After all, you are meant to change a lot when you"re thirteen or fourteen, don"t you? But Mike went through a real transformation. He didn"t care about toy cars and cheap computer games any more. Now he listened to heavy metal music and hung out with people who were much older than him, and so much different from his classmates. They listened to metal, too, and the all wore black Leather Jackets and heavy combat boots. Needless to say, Mike took on that style really quickly. His parents didn"t object, unless he behaved well and still got good marks at school. You know, sometimes a teenager changes his attitude towards his school, family and general rules at this age. Those changes can be drastic at times, so Mike"s parents were really skeptical at first. But then they felt more and more secure. The heavy boots and leather jackets were just a sing that Mike was experimenting with a new style, and a symbol of his new music interests. But unfortunately, his parents didn"t like the music. That was the only drawback of the whole metamorphosis. How to explain to a teenager that you don"t really want to listen to a band of howling heavy metal musicians?
